FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

don't worry, you're not the only one.

  1. Do I need to have dance experience?
No way! Barre builds and tones similar muscles a ballet dancer would build. Our class rarely uses ballet terminology and focuses on teaching you all of the barre terms you need to know. Our movements are not extremely explosive, unless you are taking our calorie blaster - barrecardio.

  2. Is there an age range for your class?
    Nope! We welcome everyone.

  3. When booking, it gives me the option to pay online and in person. If I pay in person, can I still pay with card?
We prefer that everyone pays online when signing up for the class. We wouldn't want taking payments to cut into your class time. If you would like to pay in person, please have cash in exact change.

  4. How should I prepare for my first class? And what should I bring?
Please prepare as you would any other workout class; no big meals right before and make sure you are hydrated. If you injure easily, or have been injured before, consult a doctor prior to attending. The only equipment we ask you to bring is a yoga mat and water. All other workout equipment will be provided.

  5. What should I wear?
We prefer you wear light, tightly fitted clothes, i.e. leggings and a camisole. It helps us make sure you are working the correct muscles during each exercise.

  6. I purchased a Class Pack, how do I redeem it?
To redeem a class from your class pack, just sign up for the class like you normally would. As you begin your checkout process, there will be a "Pay in Person" option on the PayPal page after you click "Pay Now" on our site.

  7. Where are you located?
We are currently working out of four studios, two in MD and two in DC. The location for each class varies. If you are viewing the mobile version of the site, on the booking page, if you click the title of the class (i.e. 1/6 barrecrawl) that will bring you to a page with the location, as well as the class description. If you are viewing the site on a desktop or laptop, you are still able to see the location in the description like the mobile version. As well as once you click "Join" and the class time on the calendar, the location will pop up on the right side of your screen.
