I started juicing because I wanted to eat cleaner and struggled with acne. When trying to cleanse your body, you have to start from the inside out so I looked up foods to juice that promoted skin health. It’s hard trying to get all the fruits and vegetables you need on a consistent basis, juicing helps me stay on track with digesting all my vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and nutrients. I tend to drink juice early in the morning which is best for your body’s digestion system and will hydrate your body to start off right! I have seen my skin improve so much due to incorporating juicing into my daily routine.
Juicing for some may seem overwhelming, like where do I start?! Budget is always a topic when eating healthy but remember prevention is the best cure! There are juicers as low as thirty dollars and produce is affordable it just takes preparation but remember, it has a major return investment for your overall health. Groupon even offers deals on juice packages and Juice Bars offer bundle deals if you don’t want to buy a la carte. I personally love Turning Natural Juice Bar, which is well-known in the DMV and a Black woman-owned establishment.
Now, let us get to my favorite juice blend! My go-to pressed juice blend Fresh Face recipe is Beetroot, Apples, Ginger, Tumeric, Dandelion Root, and Burdock Root. I want to highlight the major benefits of each ingredient.
