essential oils that can help you during quarantine

April 29, 2020

Hi! It’s your favorite clean beauty advocate here!

During this time of uncertainty, I wanted to share a few essential oils that have been helping me stay grounded, in hopes that they'll help you too! Before we get started, I’ll give a little background to those of you who may be new to using essential oils.

Essential oils have been used for centuries for relaxation and balance. I think we all can attest to how stress can affect our bodies and overall well-being. Our new everyday reality is that, a lot of us are working more (some juggling your kids schedule at the same time- special shout out to yall!), having trouble sticking to a routine, or just dealing with overall anxiety. The last month has been challenging to say the least, but this is where essential oils come in! One of the great ways oils can support you during this time is by helping you respond to these new conditions in a harmonious way.

Essential oils can help you in a variety of different ways. They can help you relax, uplift your spirits, ease your nervous system, soothe sore muscles (because we all have been keeping up with our sidebarre workouts, right?!), nourish the skin, and help us stay healthy!

Ready for the good stuff? Let’s take a look at some essential oils that you need to keep handy:

Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rosemary, Tea Tree: try a few drops of one of these in your shower!

Now, how to use your oils:

  • Topically- please dilute it in a carrier oil (almond, avocado and grapeseed oil are great ones to use).

  • Oil diffuser

  • Dab a few drops onto your pillows, blankets, or wherever needed throughout your home

Let us know what your favorite essential oils are!
