Sautéed brussel sprouts are great as a side dish (or just in general because I can’t get enough of these)! I love adding bacon and pancetta to my mine- it adds SO much more flavor. Trader Joe’s actually sells the bacon pieces already chopped up and ready to fry- which obviously makes my life easier. These are very simple to make!


  • 1 bag or 1lb of brussel sprouts chopped in half

  • 2 tablespoons of pancetta and/or 2 strips of cooked bacon turned into bacon bits

  • enough olive oil to coat bottom of pan

  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic

  • salt to taste

  • pepper to taste


  1. Heat olive oil and once it warms, add bacon, garlic & pancetta and fry until mostly cooked through.

  2. Throw in the brussels and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Toss it all together for about 10-15 minutes on medium heat depending on how soft you want them.

  4. Done! Yeah, it’s that easy.
